MY STORY-- EXPECT TYPOS HERE
When I started my psychotherapy private practice as a mom of a toddler during a pandemic, I thought 'What a great opportunity to help others, uniquely positioned to do this work, with both my professional and personal background!" Where is the eyeroll emoji?....Funny thing is -- I was able to support my clients. I was able to ethically provide them with the services they needed to get through their life challenges and transitions -- and I still feel the same as I do this work, mostly with women, and moms, specifically.... I didn't experience compassion fatigue or vicarious trauma through my work with them. My work never burnt me out; it was life's other curveballs that threw me for a loop. Intrigued yet?
